This is the first of hopefully many podcasts that promotes student achievement in design and implementation of a variety of technology products. This is my first episode. In this episode, I interview a senior student from Lyons High School about his Audacity project. In his project, Rudy created an informative speech that he raps. Rudy explains the entire process he used to complete the Audacity project.
As an educator and a believer in student engagement, my mission is to promote the implementation of technology as a tool to engage students, motivate them to learn, and to inspire them to be life long learners.
I am presently the Network Coordinator for USD 376. I was the Director of Technology for USD 405 in Lyons, Kansas. I had been employed by the district since spring 1994. I have grown from being a middle school teacher to a technology academy facilitator to assistant Director of Technology. During this time I was named Teacher of the Year in 1997. I have also participated in several mentor programs including: McRel, Intel, Discovery, LoTi, and TIM (ESSDACK's technology integration mentorship).
